Our newer Vintages
Vintages from 2013 have been made with wild yeast fermentation, hand plunging and gentle pressing by Alan Cooper of Cobaw Ridge at his organic certified vineyard and winery. The wines are starting to age beautifully. These wines show great elegance and some are now gaining top awards.
Planted in 1982 (and the grapes sold), the first vintage made for the Redesdale Estate label was in 1999.
Made from grapes grown only on this single vineyard, the wines reveal a true history of wine from the same vines, grown on the same soil, year after year. Aged in French oak for about 14 months and further aged in the bottle prior to release.
These cool climate southern Heathcote wines include award-winning old-vine Shiraz, a unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon – Cabernet Franc (with a small percentage of Malbec and Merlot), and a blend of all three varietals, La Scassatina. All are excellent to enjoy now and perfect for your private cellar.
Our policy of reserving parcels of all vintages made since 1999 has made possible the purchase of carefully stored museum vintage wines of great provenance for both our restaurant and private customers.
